Michael Olunga Football Academy (MOFA) FC will face 3K FC in a National Super League (NSL) match at the Mumboha stadium, in Luanda Vihiga County on Saturday, January 31, 2026.
The match, initially scheduled to take place at the Jomo Kenyatta International Stadium in Kisumu will kick-off at 3.00pm with tickets going for Sh100. Organisers settled on Mumboha after the Kisumu stadium was booked for other activities.
The new venue holds fond memories for MOFA FC known in football circles as the “White rhinos” who recently featured at Mumboha Stadium against hosts Luanda Villa and emerged with an emphatic 4-2 victory.
The result boosted the team’s confidence and highlighted their attacking prowess, something fans will be eager to witness once again when they face 3K FC.
Speaking ahead of the match, MOFA FC head of communications and marketing Bonface Osano, expressed optimism about the team’s preparations and called on supporters to turn out in large numbers.
“The players are in good shape and spirits are high following our recent win at Mumboha. We are looking forward to another competitive match and believe the support from our fans can make a big difference,” said Osano.
Equity Bank will host Nzoia Sugar FC, Nairobi City Stars will face Naivas FC, while Darajani Gogo will be up against Talanta FC in other matches planned for Saturday across the country.
Six matches will be played on Sunday, including the Kisumu All Stars versus Mwatate United and Luanda Villa against Fortune Sacco fixtures.
Migori Youth are top of the NSL standings with 36 points after 18 rounds of matches, followed by Mombasa United and MOFA FC with 34 and 32 points respectively.
Vihiga United and Mwatate United are second last and last with 15 and 13 points respectively.
