The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has unveiled the list of nominees for the women’s categories for the #CAFAwards24, as the much-anticipated awards ceremony edges closer.

The CAF Awards 2024 will be held on 16 December 2024 in Marrakech, Morocco.

Top (10) players have been shortlisted for the coveted CAF Women’s Player of the Year award, ranging from world-class footballers plying their trade both on the continent as well as abroad.

Kenya national U17 women’s football team, head coach Mildred Cheche and Valerie have been nominated for Team of the Year, Coach of the Year and Young Player of the Year Awards respectively.

The side became the first Kenyan team to qualify for a FIFA tournament, after qualifying and taking part in the FIFA U17 World Cup in the Dominican Republic, recently.

The winners of each category will be determined through votes from a diverse panel, including the CAF Technical Committee, media professionals, and the Head Coaches and Captains of Member Associations, as well as clubs participating in the group stages of CAF Interclub competitions.
