Sabatia Member of Parliament (MP) Clement Sloya Logova has expressed his commitment to addressing the infrastructural needs and challenges facing learning institutions in the constituency. This, he said, will provide a conducive learning and teaching environment to both tutors and learners.
The first term legislature, through the Sabatia National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF) is spearheading the ongoing construction of a one floor storey-building at Bugina Secondary School, in Busali Ward. “The 2023/24 Financial Year project that will be funded in 2 phases will host an administrative section, including a library, computer laboratory, and an ablution section on the ground floor. On the first floor, we will have 4 classrooms and 2 science laboratories,” a statement from the MPs press service reads in part.
The first phase of the project, which will include works to completion on the ground floor, is expected to be done and dusted before schools reopen for the first term in January 2025. In addition, the Sabatia NG-CDF has equipped Wangulu secondary school in West Maragoli location, with 20 modern computers. “Having this as a model Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) compliant secondary school in Sabatia West Ward, will go a long way in preparing learners for a highly competitive digital world and job market,” the statement added. Meanwhile, learners at Ondeyo primary school now have access to proper sanitation with the new modern 10-door ablution block that has 2 doors designated to People Living with Disabilities (PLWDs). As a model of progress, the MP, elected under Kenya Kwanza's United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party, continues to spearhead remarkable advancements in education, healthcare, electrification, and community empowerment.
He has crafted a methodical approach of engaging with his electorate, by actively listening to their concerns and addressing them with what he terms as astute precision.
