PRSK thrown into mourning

The Public Relations Society of Kenya (PRSK) was thrown into a dark weekend after the loss of one of its top officials on Friday morning.

The untimely demise of Leah Eshitemi, former Programs Manager at the PRSK Secretariat has left members of the legal profession in a rude shock, reminiscing the cheerful, selfless and dedicated lady she was.

"Hon members, it is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing on of our long serving team member, Leah Eshitemi. As a council, we are grratly saddened and shocked by this sadden demise," revealed PRSK President Arik Karani when he broke the devastating news of Eshitemi's death.

Eshitemi passed on while receiving treatment at the Aga Khan University Hospital after a short illness.

The PRSK President further announced that all planned society events are put on hold until further notice.

Moreover, the PRSK College of Fellows has also joined the larger society in mourning their departed pillar.

"Words cannot fully express the profound sadness and sense of loss we feel, both collectively and individually, following the sudden and untimely passing of Leah Eshitemi. Leah was the heartbeat of the PRSK Secretariat for so many years—a rare gem, a beautiful soul, and an irreplaceable treasure. Go well, Leah. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon her," mourned Peter Mutie, the Chairperson of the College of Fellows recalling how Leah served at the secretariat with dedication and single-mindedness.

Eshitemi who until her demise wss an active member of the PRSK secretariat has been described as the cornerstone of the society, an outstanding lady who served diligently, with courtesy, diplomacy and wisdom and that her sudden departure had left avoid no one can fill.

"Leah was the face of PRSK. Our go-to-person. May she rest well," solaced LVSWWDA Corporate Communications Manager, Maureen Oduor.
