"I have received a message from the president on the nomination of Professor Kithure Kindiki to fill the vacancy in the office of the Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya," said the former Bungoma Senator.

“I am satisfied that the candidate meets the requirements under Article 148, as read together with Article 137 of the Constitution, to fill the vacancy in the Office of the Deputy President. “My brother Professor Kithure Kindiki, my sincere congratulations. History has placed an honour and responsibility accorded to only a few,” said the former devolution CS.

“May God guide you and William Samoei Ruto as you lead this great country to achieve its tremendous potential. To those that supported me for this position, I thank you. We must now dedicate our efforts to building a better Kenya under the leadership of William Samoei Ruto and Abraham Kithure Kindiki.”
